Description
Silica fume is an ultra-fine mineral product, an amorphous form of silicon dioxide, which is a byproduct recovered from electric furnaces during the smelting of ferrosilicon alloys and industrial silicon. The raw materials are silica, coal and wood chips. During the smelting process, a large amount of highly volatile SiO2 and Si gases are produced in the electric furnace, which are rapidly oxidized and condensed by the air after being discharged.
Application
Silica fume is mainly suitable for high-strength concrete, amorphous refractory materials, dry-mixed (premixed) mortar, high-strength non-shrinkage grouting materials, wear-resistant industrial floors, repair mortar, polymer mortar, thermal insulation mortar, impermeable concrete, self-leveling concrete, concrete densifier, concrete preservative, cement-based polymer waterproofing agent; strength reinforcement of rubber, plastic, unsaturated polyester, paint, coating and other polymer materials, modification of ceramic products, etc.

Package & Storage
1. Storage conditions: Silica fume should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse to avoid moisture and rain to prevent agglomeration and reduced activity.
2. Protective measures: When handling and using silica ash, operators should wear protective equipment such as dust masks, protective glasses and gloves to avoid inhaling silica ash dust which may cause harm to the human body.
3. 25kg woven plastic bag, 650kg jumbo bag, or customized packaging specifications according to customer needs.
Shelf Life
Store in a sealed container in a cool and dry place. The storage time should not exceed 12 months. Once exceeds the shelf life, it can be used after the approval of test.
